Broadway Family Health provides a full range of healthcare services including all aspects of primary care, internal medicine and family practice. Our services include podiatry, psychotherapy, OB/GYN, HIV/Hepatitis-C Care, Suboxone treatment, Diabetes Management & Fitness classes. We are conveniently located in Brooklyn, and easily accessible by both public and private transportation. Our caring and attentive staff is fluent in English, Spanish and French and always ready to meet your healthcare needs with the highest quality medical care available. We proudly offer extensive walk-in hours and same-day appointments on a daily basis.
Barak Sered, MD
Dr Sered is a graduate of The University of Massachusetts Medical School and completed his residency in Family Practice at Montefiore Medical Center in The Bronx. He brings a family-centered and holistic approach to his practice, and enjoys working with his patients to develop treatment plans to meet their health goals. He is passionate in supporting individuals from diverse cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds.
Dr Sered is certified as an HIV Specialist by the American Association of HIV Medicine and is a Medicaid Hepatitis C Practitioner. He is also an advocate for office-based medication assisted treatment with buprenorphine (Suboxone) for opioid use disorder.
Dr Sered enjoys travel, music, and cycling-you can often find his bicycle parked right outside the health center! He looks forward to meeting you and your family.

Sophia Malary-Carter, MD
Dr. Malary-Carter is a board certified family medical physician. She completed medical school at the University of Rochester where she developed a passion for providing care to the medically underserved and graduated with a distinction in community service. She completed her residency training at the University of New Mexico where her focus centered around her efforts in teaching (earning an award for the Society of Teachers of Family Medicine). In addition, she was a resident director at a non-profit community health clinic that served the Albuquerque community. Her clinical practice ranges from pediatrics to geriatrics, and everything in between. Dr. Malary-Carter is a Miami, Florida native and of Haitian descent. She is fluent in French and Creole, and conversational in Spanish.
